The Sunbeam-Talbot Ten is a passenger car that the Rootes Group brought out in 1938 as an offshoot of the contemporary Hillman Minx and sold under the brand new Sunbeam-Talbot that was created in the same year . The model was available as a touring car , sedan and convertible .
Model description
The classic car with curved fenders and free-standing headlights had a side-controlled four - cylinder in - line engine with 1185 cm³ displacement, which developed 41 bhp (30 kW). All four wheels were suspended from semi-elliptical leaf springs. The vehicle reached a top speed of 109 km / h.
The Sunbeam Talbot 2 liter was delivered with the same body but a more powerful engine .
In 1948 the model was replaced by the more modern Sunbeam Talbot 80 .
