The Sundsvatnet ( Norwegian for Sundsee ) is a lake at the Princess Astrid Coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Lands . In the center of the Schirmacher Oasis , it is on the north side of the Sundsvassheia .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it after its middle section, which is reminiscent of a sound .
