Sunrise was a German pop group that was popular in the late 1970s .
Band history
In 1978 the group achieved success in the German single charts with the title song of their debut album Call on Me . The song was written by the two band members Holger Julian Copp and Hanno Harders, who worked together as Beagle Music Ltd. in the mid-1980s . had another hit. Other band members were Jörg Fries and Michael Reinecke , who produced the song and later also made a name for himself as a music producer.
A German version of the song was created in the same year with the title Wir zieh'n heute 'Abend auf Dach , with which Jürgen Drews also entered the charts. This in turn was parodied by Fips Asmussen , who turned it into the title I'll get one on the roof tonight .
In the 2000s the song was rediscovered and released again in German by a group called Two 4 Good together with Drews. There is also a recording of the original version of ATC from 2002.
After the quartet had no further success with the second album Paradise , Sunrise broke up again.
