League history

In the 2000/2001 season they tried to reach the playoffs, but they missed this goal quite narrowly, because one point would have been missing for a place in the playoff round because the goal difference of Future FC was worse than the Sunsets. What was not successful in the previous year was implemented in 2003. They managed a four point lead in first place even though they had played one game less than the then runner-up George Town SC . As the first in Zone B, the club also managed to win against the runners-up in Zone A, Western Union FC, in the first playoff game . But the joy only lasted about a week, because in the second leg Western Union managed a narrow 1-0 win against Sunset, but Sunset still qualified. On April 13, 2003 they played against the Scholars International , but they lost this final 3-1 and could not win a title again.

As the last season ended, the next season 2003/2004 was mixed. They cut off as the second to last team (4th place out of 5 teams) with only 15 points from 14 games. This bad record continued in 2004/2005 when they only got 7 points from 6 games. And since only the first 2 teams could qualify, a fifth place wasn't much use either. In 2005/2006 they couldn't achieve a better result with a 5th place in 18 games and 23 points. A modest "success" could be shown again in 2006/2007 and 2007/2008 when they finished fourth in both seasons. In 2008/2009 things are up again with 3rd place after 15 match days.
