Super8 & Tab is a Finnish trance duo from Helsinki , consisting of Miika Eloranta (Super8) and Janne Mansnerus (DJ Tab).

history

Until 2005, Miika and Janne both pursued solo careers. The duo got to know each other through friends and soon formed a successful cooperation. They released their first single, First Aid , on the trancelabel Anjunabeats . Helsinki Scorchin ' soon followed and was voted one of the Top 20 Tunes of 2006 by DJ Mag . To date, a total of 13 singles by the duo have been released by Anjunabeats.

In 2006, together with Mark Pledger , they released the compilation Anjunabeats Worldwide Vol.1 , which Mixmag voted for Compilation of the Month . It was nominated for Best Album of 2007 at the International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) . In 2009, Super8 & Tab came in 82nd in the selection of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs . At the IDMA 2010 they were nominated in the Best Break-Through DJ category.

The two have already been booked as DJs worldwide. In addition to regular appearances in England ( Ministry of Sound , Godskitchen ), they were twice at the Future Music Festival in Australia. They have also been booked several times in the United States, as well as Brazil and South Korea. Armin van Buuren and Above & Beyond have invited the duo several times as guest DJs for anniversary parties for their radio programs A State of Trance and Trance Around the World . Super8 & Tab played at the TATW-300 party in Moscow as well as at the ASOT-450 party in Wroclaw . In April 2010 they were also in the line-up for Trance Energy in Utrecht , the world's largest pure trance event.

In rotation with James Grant, Mark Pledger and a guest DJ, Super8 & Tab run the monthly radio show Anjunabeats Worldwide on the Internet radio station Digitally Imported .

Empire , the first solo album by Super8 & Tab , was released on September 13, 2010. The next album followed on February 23, 2018 with Reformation Part 1 .
