The Super Mario Brothers Super Show was an American television series based on the video game character Super Mario .
Structure of each episode
Super Mario episodes
Each episode of the series ran according to the same scheme: The first and last minutes of each episode consisted of the so-called Mario Bros. Plumbing sitcom in which a live action Mario (played by Lou Albano ) and a live action Luigi (played by Danny Wells ) in get awkward situations.
After the first of the two sitcom segments it comes to the Super Mario Bros. Cartoon , a cartoon segment that is largely based on the video game adventures Super Mario Bros. 2 . Bowser, named King Koopa after his official title in the series, tries in every episode to catch Princess Toadstool or usurp her beloved Mushroom Kingdom.
After the cartoon segment, there is another short sequence from the Mario Bros. Plumbing sitcom .
The Legend of Zelda Episodes
After the first 52 episodes of the series dealt with the adventures of Mario and his friends in the cartoon segment, the last 13 episodes were about Link and his fight against Ganon.
As with the Super Mario Bros. cartoon , each episode followed the same pattern: Ganon has forged a new plan to steal the Triforce from Hyrule and it is always up to Link and Princess Zelda to stop him.
