Suppingen was first mentioned in a document in 1108. The village was sold to Württemberg in 1447 by the Counts of Helfenstein . In 1408, extensive property owned by von Nenningen came to a citizen of Blaubeur. The Blaubeuren Hospital was also wealthy. In the Thirty Years War the place was destroyed and was completely deserted in 1650.

Suppingen was subordinate to the Oberamt Blaubeuren and from 1938 belonged to the district of Ulm .

In the course of the municipal reform in Baden-Württemberg , Suppingen was incorporated into Laichingen on January 1, 1972.
