Supratra Kunakorn

Supratra Kunakorn ( Thai : รั สุ พัต รา คุณากร ; * 1936 ) is a former Thai national badminton player .

Career

As a junior, she won the women's doubles title at the 1953 Thai championship together with Lek Poonsuk. In singles, she became Thai junior champion two years later and took part in the international match against Selangor in 1956. In the following years she played her way up to the Thai national team for adults and was active in the Uber Cup 1959/60 , the world championship for women’s teams. There the Thai women's team lost just 3: 4 to New Zealand in the first round. Supratra Kunakorn lost in all three games. She lost the singles to Heather Robson with 4:11 and 0:11 and the doubles went to Sonia Cox and Elizabeth M. Meyer with 6:15 and 6:15 and against Heather Robson and Val Gow with 4:15 and 0:15 lost.
