Val Gow

Valerie Gladys "Val" Gow , nee Valerie Gladys Johnson (born March 8, 1929 - August 24, 2012 ), was a New Zealand badminton player .

Career

Val Gow was New Zealand champion for the first time in 1950, where she competed with Heather Redwood . In the following 15 years she was one of the most important players in badminton in New Zealand, alongside Redwood and Sonia Cox . By 1964 she won a total of ten national titles.
