Suresh Goel
Suresh Chandra Goel (born June 20, 1943 in Allahabad , † April 13, 1978 in Varanasi ) was an Indian badminton player .
Career
Suresh Goel won his first title at the Indian individual championships in 1962, ten more followed until 1976. At the 1972 Olympics , where badminton was played as a demonstration sport , he was eliminated in the first round in both singles and doubles with Ippei Kojima . In 1966 and 1970 he started at the Commonwealth Games . In 1967 he was awarded the Arjuna Award . Goel died of a heart defect while running in 1978.
