Susan Clark

Susan Clark (* 8. March 1940 in Sarnia , Ontario as Nora Golding ) is a Canadian actress and film producer .

Life

Clark grew up in Toronto , studied at the London Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and made his debut in an episode of the television series The Benny Hill Show (1965). In the action film Coogan's Big Bluff , she played parole officer Julie Roth , who flirts with cop Walt Coogan ( Clint Eastwood ).

In 1976, Clark received an Emmy Award for her leading role in the television drama Babe (1975) . In the following year she was nominated again for this award for the biography Amelia Earhart (1976) in the role of the eponymous aviation pioneer . In 1975 she was nominated for the Golden Apple Award as New Female Star . In 1985, she received a Golden Globe nomination for her appearance on the television series Webster in a 1983 episode . In 1996 she was nominated for a Gemini Award for her role in the Canadian drama Sold Life (1995) .

Clark made some television films in the early 1980s. In 2006 she appeared in the play The Retreat from Moscow at the Manitoba Theater Center .

From 1970 to 1973 Susan Clark was married to Bob Joseph. In 1980 she married the actor Alex Karras , with whom she has a daughter (* 1980).
