Susan Morrison
Susan Morrison (born 1943 ) is an American Methodist minister and bishop of the United Methodist Church .
She was a member of the Christian Peace Conference and delegate of her church to the IV All- Christian Peace Assembly in 1971.
Within the United Methodist Church (UMC), Morrison had been responsible for the Philadelphia district since 1988 and from 1996 for the Albany district, which includes parts of northeastern Pennsylvania , parts of the state of New York and Vermont . Morrison, who was seen as a representative of liberal positions within the UMC, announced her resignation from the episcopate on September 1, 2006 for health and personal reasons.
