Susan K. Sprecher (born September 5, 1955 ) is an American psychology professor at Illinois State University .

Life

Speaker received her bachelor's degree in 1977 , her master 's degree in 1980 and completed her dissertation in sociology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1985 . From 1985 to 1989 she worked as an "Assistant Professor" and from 1989 to 1993 as an "Associate Professor" at the Department of Sociology, Anthropology, and Social Work at Illinois State University . Since 1993 she has been a professor at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and since 2003 she has held a joint professorship at the Department of Psychology at Illinois State University.
