Susanne Bowen

Susanne Bowen (born July 23, 1979 in Wismar ) is a German political official and State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

Life

After graduating from high school in Wismar, Bowen studied law in Bonn , Göttingen , Paris and Kaliningrad . After passing the 1st state examination, she completed her legal clerkship in Schleswig-Holstein with stations in Tallinn and at the German Embassy in Moscow. After passing the 2nd state examination, Bowen started working in the Neubrandenburg State Education Authority in early 2009 . From the end of 2009 she worked as a legal advisor and from March 2010 at the same time as the head of the student service department for the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences .

From December 2010 to December 2018, Bowen was Chancellor of the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences. From 2013 she studied university and science management as a further education course at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences .

Since August 27, 2019, Susanne Bowen has been State Secretary in the Ministry of Education of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. She is the successor to Sebastian Schröder , who went on unpaid leave for family reasons.
