Susanne Feust-Göthe , née Susanne Göthe (born December 19, 1836 in Leipzig , † December 30, 1886 in Hamburg ) was a German theater actress , comedian and singer ( soprano ).

Life

After the death of her father, the daughter of a businessman moved with her mother to Dessau, where her voice was recommended for training by the famous oratorio composer Friedrich Schneider .

She took singing lessons from Franziska Cornet and Anton Babnigg . She made her debut at the Hamburg Thaliatheater on August 17, 1853.

However, since she still lacked higher education and stage routine, she took on engagement first in Neustrelitz and then in Posen under Franz Wallner .

Wallner promoted her and her next engagement was - among the same - at the Königstädtisches Theater Berlin. After the Wallnertheater, further stations in her career were the Wiesbaden Court Theater, the theaters of Nuremberg, Breslau, Cologne and Hamburg (1864 to 1876 Stadttheater, 1876 to 1884 Thaliatheater).

Despite her marriage, she was still generally called "Frau Göthe".

On December 30, 1885, she took the stage as "Frau Striese". It was to be her last appearance. A few days later she had to undergo an operation, as a result of which she died unexpectedly on January 8, 1886.
