Susanne Kövari

Susanne Kövari (born July 3, 1941 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and housewife. Kövari was a member of the National Council , a member of the Federal Council and President of the Carinthian state parliament .

Kövari attended compulsory school and then the vocational school for commercial professions in Vienna. In addition, they continued their education through various courses and seminars. She was professionally active for ten years and then became a housewife. As early as 1955 she became a member of the youth union, and from 1970 she became a councilor in St. Veit an der Glan . Kövari rose to city councilor in 1979 and became a member of the regional school council in 1975. Between September 19, 1986 and December 16, 1986, Kövari represented the SPÖ for a short time in the National Council, after which it belonged to the Federal Council from December 13, 1988 to April 20, 1989 on. Kövari then moved to the Carinthian state parliament , to which she was a member between 1989 and 1994. Kövari held the office of First President of the Carinthian Parliament from 1990 to 1994.
