Susanne Konrad

Susanne Czuba-Konrad (born April 14, 1965 in Bonn ) is a German writer and literary scholar who publishes fiction and non-fiction.

Life

Susanne Konrad was born in Bonn as the daughter of the Protestant theologian Johann-Friedrich Konrad (1932–2015) and the doctor Ingeborg Konrad (1934-2019). She is the granddaughter of the theologian Joachim Konrad (1903–1979) and the educator Gisela Konrad, b. Altmann (1903-1987). She has two brothers. In 1984 she graduated from high school on Schweizer Allee in Dortmund . From 1984 to 1990 she studied German and history in Konstanz and Frankfurt am Main . In 1995 she did her doctorate under Klaus Jeziorkowski on Goethe's 'Elective Affinities ' and the dilemma of logocentrism . From 1994 to 1996 she completed her internship at the Goethe-Gymnasium in Frankfurt am Main . In 1998 she married the film archivist Norbert Czuba (1945–2003). The marriage resulted in a daughter (born 2003). After the death of her husband, Susanne Konrad was involved in several literary associations, such as the literature club of women from all over the world, of which she was chairman from 2009–2013, but also in the Association of German Writers (VS) and the Literaturgesellschaft Hessen eV 2014–2016 she holds a scholarship as a district historian from the Polytechnic Society Foundation in Frankfurt am Main. In 2014 she got in touch with the megalomania publishing house founded in 2009 and worked on numerous literary projects. Since October 2017 she has been part of the authorship in the Library of Generations at the Historisches Museum Frankfurt am Main .
