Sushi shuolüe

The Chinese book Sushi shuolüe ( Chinese : 素食 说 略; Pinyin : Sùshí shuōlüè; German: Short sketch about vegetarian food) was written by Xue Baochen (薛宝辰) towards the end of the Qing Dynasty .

In the book, knowledge, culinary art and preparation methods of over 170 types of vegetables, fruits, bean products and “staple foods” (zhǔliáng 主粮) are presented in a nutshell. The focus is on dishes from Shaanxi and Beijing , and the book contains important material for research into vegetarian cuisine in Northwest China and North China .

The author is from Chang'an in Shaanxi , he was a member of the Hanlin Academy .

expenditure

The work was first published in Xi'an in 1926 , a modern edition is contained in the modern book series Zhongguo pengren guji congkan , Beijing: Zhongguo shangye chubanshe , 1985.
