Susannah "Susie" Scanlan (born June 4, 1990 in Saint Paul ) is a former American sword fencer .
successes
Susie Scanlan took part in the 2012 Olympic Games in London , where she finished the individual competition in 34th place. In the team competition, she reached the semi-finals with the US team, which were lost to South Korea . The final battle for third place against Russia ended at 31:30 just in favor of the Americans, who in addition to Scanlan also included Maya Lawrence , Courtney and Kelley Hurley . After the games, she ended her career.
Scanlan then studied at Princeton University , for which she was also active in college sports.
