Suter Island

Suter Island is a small island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . In the Vestfold Mountains , it is located 800 south-west of the southern boundary of the entrance to Heidemann Bay .

Norwegian cartographers mapped them using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them after William J. Suter, a cook at Davis Station in 1960.
