Suzana Žigante (born September 22, 1994 in Ithaca , New York ) is an American-Croatian national soccer player.
Career
Žigante started her active career in the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) in North Carolina. During this time she attended Boynton Middle School in Ithaca and played for their Puma Soccer Team.
She then went to Holly Springs High School in Apex , Wake County , North Carolina . After leaving high school in March 2012, she played in the United Soccer League (USL) U-20 for Triangle FC for half a year. After the USL season ended, she enrolled at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix in fall 2012 . In March 2013, she left Grand Canyon University and moved back to Triangle FC.
International
Born in the USA, she switched to the Croatian Football Association in 2010 and was a goalkeeper in the Croatian U-17 national team at the age of 15. Since February 2012 she has been part of the extended squad for the Croatian national soccer team and made her international debut in March.
Private
Her father Zigmund "Ziggy" is currently the goalkeeping coach for the W-League team Ottawa Fury and at the same time her private goalkeeping coach.
