Svealena Kutschke

Svealena Kutschke (* 1977 in Lübeck ) is a German author .

Life

Kutschke studied cultural studies and aesthetic practice in Hildesheim . In 2006/2007 she received the workshop grant from the Jürgen Ponto Foundation and in 2008 she won 2nd prize at the Berlin literature competition " open mike ". She lives in Berlin .

Her debut novel Something Small Well Seal was published in 2009 by Wallstein Verlag. She received the Berlin Senate Scholarship 2014 and residency scholarships from the Goethe Institute in China and Croatia. In 2013 her second novel Hazardous Species was published by Eichborn Verlag. Her third novel Stadt aus Rauch was published in 2017 . In 2019, her play at our feet, the gold, disappeared from the ground, was invited to the Autorentheatertage at the Deutsches Theater Berlin. Svealena Kutschke was awarded the Schiller Memorial Prize in 2019.
