Svedmyra is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Stureby district . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The station belongs to the rather moderately frequented station of the subway network. On a normal working day, 2500 commuters get on here.

The station was opened on September 9, 1951, when the section of the Gröna linjen Gullmarsplan – Stureby went into operation. The station is located between the Stureby and Sockenplan stations . The platforms are above ground in an elevated position. It is about seven kilometers to the main train station ( Stockholms centralstation ).
