Sven-Arne Görn

Sven-Arne Görn (born June 14, 1957 ) is a German sports commentator.

Görn from Hamburg, after studying law in Hamburg and London, has been working for television since 1986, commented on tennis coverage for SAT 1 from 1986 onwards , was also an ice hockey commentator with Alois Schloder as an expert at his side and commented on football matches at SAT.1. Among other things, he was a tennis commentator at Boris Becker's 1989 US Open final victory against Ivan Lendl and at the Davis Cup final in Gothenburg in 1988. During his time as a tennis commentator, Görn broadcast over 1,000 games, worked at Günther Bosch's side, and his co-commentators included a. also Steffi Graf, Boris Becker, Thomas Muster, Ion Țiriac, Peter Ustinov etc.

Sven-Arne Görn was voted tennis commentator of the year (Tennis Revue) in 1993.

After working at Sat.1 , he was TV director Europe at the ATP Tour, the tennis association of professionals, in Monaco. Görns later switched to the pay TV broadcaster Premiere , where he held the position of tennis director and CVD football. From September 1, 1999, he was also Jens-Peter Hecht's successor as media director of the DTB .

Since the middle of 2000, Görn and his company GÖRN PRODUCTIONS have been working for various TV stations, such as ARD, ZDF, sport1, LIGA total! , ARENA and has been head of the north external editorial team at sport1 since 2006, where he is responsible for reporting on Bundesliga clubs such as Hamburger SV, Werder Bremen and Hannover 96. Total for league! Görn has been working as the head of soccer Bundesliga live broadcasts and as a soccer commentator since 2009.

Sven-Arne Görn is with Kerstin Görn, geb. Tiedemann, married and lives in Aumühle, near Hamburg.
