Sven ambrosy (* 29. June 1970 in Neustadt am Rübenberge , Germany ) is a German politician of the SPD and district administrator in the district of Friesland . In addition, since January 2011 he has been chairman of the association assembly of the Oldenburg district association and since December 14, 2016, association chairman of the Oldenburg-East Frisian water association .

education and profession

Sven Ambrosy initially studied archeology and Egyptology in Göttingen from 1991 to 1992 and then moved to the University of Hanover and studied law . He graduated with the 1st state examination in 1996 and the 2nd state examination in 1999.

From 1999 to 2000 he worked as a scientific consultant at the Lower Saxony Association of Cities in Hanover and in July 2000 moved to the Friesland district as a department head. From July 1, 2001, he was also deputy senior district director .

Political activity

From 1996 to 2000 Sven Ambrosy was a member of the city council of Wunstorf .

Since August 12, 2003 he has been the full-time district administrator for the district of Friesland, replacing Karin Evers-Meyer as district administrator and Lothar Knippert as senior district director.

In addition to his work as a district administrator, he is also the chairman of the North Sea Tourist Board (since 2004) and the Lower Saxony Tourist Board (since 2006).

At Ambrosy's initiative, the district council of the district of Friesland unanimously decided on July 11, 2012 to introduce the citizens' portal LiquidFriesland .
