Sven Beuchler

Sven Beuchler (born July 24, 1975 in Karl-Marx-Stadt , today Chemnitz) is a German mathematician who deals with numerical simulation .

Beuchler studied mathematics from 1995 onwards at the Technical University of Chemnitz , where he received his doctorate from Arnd Meyer in 2003 with a thesis on Multi-Level Methods for Degenerated Problems with Applications to p-Versions of the FEM . He then worked as a research assistant at the Technical and Natural Sciences Faculty of the University of Linz , where he received his habilitation in October 2008 ; he then worked at the Johann Radon Institute for Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences .

From 2011 to 2017 Beuchler was Professor of Scientific Computing and Numerical Simulation at the University of Bonn and also carried out research at the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics there . Since 2017 he has been a professor at Leibniz University Hannover .
