Sven Meyer is a German artist , music producer, festival organizer . He is particularly known for his work and installations for water-sound-images ( kymatics ).

Career

Sven Meyer (born 1970 in Hamburg) began his career as an intern with his relative Horst Janssen . The time was captured in the film "Janssen: Ego", a documentary on the painter's 60th birthday.

Meyer soon changed artistic direction and began to make music with various projects such as Graine Gretsches (as the opening act for Slash's Snakepit ) and Trance formation (various concerts at the Voov Experience & Fusion Festival ). A little later a program for children followed with the project "DJ Kekse".

Meyer opened the Highway Headshop in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel in 1993 , campaigned for the legalization of hemp and organized the Hamburg Hanffest event.

In 2005 Meyer founded the label "Elfenmaschine" and opened his own sound laboratory " Elbhall" in 2009 in Hamburg's Karoviertel . There he creates sound productions for advertising and film music.

Meyer has been organizing the “ Yoga . Water . Klang Festival ”in Planten un Blomen . With Kim Pörksen he developed the installation "Sonic Water" for the Photographers Playground, which resulted in a project that makes sound visible in water ( kymatics ) and bears the name KYMAT.
