Sverri Djurhuus

Sverri Djurhuus (born July 11, 1920 in Kollafjørður / Faroe Islands ; † October 18, 2003 in Tórshavn , Faroe Islands) was a Faroese author and one of at least four Faroese volunteers in the Second World War of the Waffen-SS .

Sverri was born in 1920 to Sigvald Oliver Djurhuus and Anna Sofie Elisabeth (née Hansen from Miðvágur ). His grandfather was Napoleon Djurhuus, son of Jens Hendrik Djurhuus (1799-1892).
