Sveti Nikola is a small uninhabited island in Montenegro about one kilometer from the port city of Budva . It is about two kilometers long and covers an area of 36 hectares. The highest point of Sveti Nikolas is 121 meters above sea level.
It is the largest island in Montenegro and used to be reached on foot via a headland. Today it is uninhabited except for the lighthouse keeper and is used by day-trippers for swimming. Popularly it is also called "Havai" after a discotheque that used to be on it and was supposed to be reminiscent of Hawaii .
