List of islands in Montenegro
This is a list of the islands in Montenegro . Montenegro's islands are relatively small and by far not as numerous as those in neighboring Croatia . They can be subdivided into those in the Adriatic Sea and those in Lake Skadar :
Islands in the Adriatic
From northwest to southeast:
- Sveti Nikola
- Sveti Stefan (now a peninsula)
- Golubinj (a nearly 0.4 hectare rock 400 meters south of Sveti Stefan)
- Sveta Neđelja
- Katič
- Stari Ulcinj
- Hr Derran (small rock island 1.5 km from Velika plaža )
- Ada Bojana
In the Bay of Kotor
From the outside to the inside:
Entrance of the bay
- Mamula (former prison island)
- Gospa od Mirišta (also Vavedenje )
Tivat Basin
The 3 islands of the Krtoljski Archipelago:
- Miholjska Prevlaka or Ostrvo Cvijeća ( Flower Island )
- Sveti Marko
- Gospa od Milosti
Inner basin
The two islands off Perast :
- Gospa od Škrpjela (artificially raised)
- Sveti Đorđe

Small islands off the southern shore of the lake:
- Grmožur (former prison island)
- Lesendro (former island with castle ruins, today connected to the E 80 or E 65 road ( Sutomore - Podgorica ))

- Krajinski Archipelago (50 smaller islets and rocks)
Trivia
- Largest island - Both Ada Bojana and Vranjina have an area of 4.8 km².
- Largest lake island - Sveti Nikola is about 36 hectares.
- Highest island - Vranjina rises up to 296 m above Lake Skadar.
- Highest lake island - Sveti Nikola is 121 m high. The second highest is Sveti Marko with 36 m.
