PFC Swetkawiza Targovishte ( Bulgarian ПФК Светкавица Търговище ) is a Bulgarian football club from the eastern Bulgarian city of Targovishte , which in the 2012/13 season in the second Bulgarian league, the B Grupa 2012/13 .

Targovishte has spent a total of 49 years (national record!) In the second division, today's B Grupa .

The association was founded on July 6, 1922 through the merger of the neighboring associations Levski and Botew in Targovishte. In the 1961/1962 season, the club first reached the B Grupa. Svetkawiza recorded the greatest success in 1974 when they reached the promotion round. In 1987 the club was relegated, but returned to the second division in 1989.

In 2010/2011 they reached fourth place in the eastern group, the best placement in 1973/1974, and thus participation in the play-off round. After a 3-1 win on June 17, 2011 against FK Etar Veliko Tarnowo , promotion to the elite league founded in 1948 was perfect. However, you had to relegate directly back to the B Grupa after only one season as the knocked-down bottom of the table .
