Swets (short: Swets) is a company based in the Dutch city of Leiden , which mainly services offering for libraries.

history

Swets was founded in 1901 by Adriaan Swets and Heinrich Zeitlinger in Amsterdam as a bookstore and antiquarian bookshop for scientific literature. Swets has also been trading in scientific journals since the 1930s. The company later became the world leader in managing journal subscriptions for academic libraries.

Swets filed for bankruptcy in 2014.
