Sydney Bromley (born July 24, 1909 in London , † August 14, 1987 in Worthing , Sussex ) was a British actor.

Bromley's acting career includes more than sixty films and television productions between 1944 and 1987, with the bearded character actor from the 1960s mostly cast as a wise eccentric and bucolic, toothless age. His best-known film roles in Germany include the sleigh driver in Roman Polański's horror comedy Tanz der Vampire (1967) and the Enguywook in Wolfgang Petersen's fantasy literary adaptation The Neverending Story (1984). In the theater he performed in plays such as A Midsummer Night's Dream and Was ihr wollt at the Open Air Theater in London. He was also a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company ,
