Reviews

  • “Kitschy children's film idyll that oozes nobility and pretends that evil is just funny.” - “ Lexicon of international film ” (CD-ROM edition), Systhema, Munich 1997.
  • "It's a culture clash comedy, a hidden treasure adventure, and a heartwarming family story rolled into one. It's one of those rare children's films that adults can enjoy." ("It's a culture clash comedy, a hidden treasure mystery / adventure and a heartwarming tale of family all rolled into one. It's that rare kid's movie that adults can also enjoy.") - George Rother, MovieGuy24 / 7
  • Louis Chunovic pointed out in his book Jodie Foster. A portrait suggests the film would have been deemed mediocre, but Jodie Foster would have gotten good reviews.
