Sylvester Samuel Anhorn from Hartwiss
Sylvester Samuel Anhorn von Hartwiss (born January 24, 1659 in Mosbach ; † August 9, 1736 in St. Gallen ) was a doctor and city physician of St. Gallen.
Life
Sylvester Samuel Anhorn von Hartwiss was a son of the Swiss Reformed pastor Bartholomäus Anhorn von Hartwiss, who worked in Mosbach from 1649 to 1660 . Sylvester Samuel Anhorn von Hartwiss studied medicine, received his doctorate at the University of Heidelberg in 1679 and then worked as a doctor and later from 1719 as a city physician in St. Gallen. In 1709 he became a member of the City Council of St. Gallen.
On June 14, 1691 Sylvester Samuel Anhorn von Hartwiss was given the academic surname Strabo I. under the matriculation number. 187 accepted as a member of the Leopoldina .
