Symba (* 1999 as Sylvain Mabe ) is a German rapper and actor with Cameroonian roots from Frohnau, Berlin .

Music career

Around 2017 he founded the collective Playboysmafia together with his friends Pashanim and RB 030. He first published his music on Soundcloud . With the title Maxi King and PS2 he released his first underground hits, which made him known in the hip-hop scene. The music video for Blockparty was released at the end of 2019 .

The first chart hit followed with Angel's clans . The song reached number 13 in the German single charts.

Music genre

The previous Symba songs are clearly based on the Trap style , which is mainly known in the Atlanta scene. The rapper doesn't take himself seriously and keeps breaking ironically with his style. He shows himself in his videos with a nerf gun and on a bouncy castle .

Film career

In addition to his rap career, he attended the Goldoni Theater School for children and young people in Berlin and appeared in various films such as Der Kriminalist - Fenster zum Hof (2018) and Bibi & Tina 3: Mädchen gegen Jungs (2017). He had recurring roles in the television series Dschermeni (2017) and Sløborn (2020).

In 2019 he made the short film Mein Paris. He is currently studying directing at the Babelsberg Konrad Wolf Film University , where he is the youngest student.
