Synagogue (Będzin)

The synagogue in Będzin ( German Bendzin ), a town in the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland , was built in 1881. A wooden synagogue , built in 1856, was previously located in the same place .

On September 8, 1939, numerous Jewish residents of the city were driven into the synagogue by an SS / SD task force , which was then set on fire with them.
