Synagogue (Czarnków)

The synagogue in Czarnków (German Czarnikau ), the Polish district town of the powiat Czarnkowsko-Trzcianecki in the Greater Poland Voivodeship , was built in 1878. The representative synagogue in the style of historicism was located in the city center.
The red brick was inaugurated by Shlomo Popper, who worked as a rabbi in Czarnikau for 35 years .
The synagogue was destroyed by the German occupiers in September 1939 and the ruin was demolished shortly afterwards.
