Synagogue (Lucerne)
The synagogue in Lucerne , a city in central Switzerland , was built in 1911/12. The synagogue at Bruchstrasse 51 is a protected cultural monument .
The synagogue was built according to plans by the Frankfurt architect Max Seckbach (1866–1922). He had also built the synagogues in Homburg vor der Höhe (1905), Weinheim (1905) and Memmingen (1909).
The three-storey building with a high hipped roof is clad with lots of marble inside . The financing was secured by a donation from the legacy of Josef Kroner (Croner).
