The synagogue in Boskovice (German Boskowitz ), a town in Okres Blansko in the South Moravian Region in the Czech Republic , was built in 1639. The profaned synagogue in Traplova-Gasse has been a protected cultural monument since 1988 .

history

Of the original several synagogues in Boskovice, only this single synagogue building has survived today, which was built in the Baroque style according to the plans of the Italian builder Sylvester Fiota from Chiavenna . In the 1990s, a fundamental renovation of the building fabric, threatening to deteriorate, took place. The valuable frescoes were also saved. Since 2002 the former synagogue has served as a museum on the history of the Jewish community in Boskovice.
