Synagogue in Sukhumi

The synagogue in the old town of Sukhumi , the capital of Abkhazia , was built at the beginning of the 20th century. The synagogue was built in a round arch style.

The arrival of Jewish citizens in the mid-19th century resulted in a Jewish community in Sukhumi, which in 1915 already had 356 members.
