The Great Synagogue in Tbilisi , the capital of Georgia , was built from 1913 to 1915 for the Georgian-Jewish community in Tbilisi, the Ashkenazim , who had moved to Tbilisi from Eastern Europe since the 19th century, have their own synagogues. The synagogue at Leselidze-Straße 45-47 is a protected cultural monument .

The synagogue in the style of eclecticism is about 25 meters long and 15 meters wide. It is surmounted by a dome .

The building was renovated in the 2000s with the help of the World Monuments Fund .
