Synne Steen Hansen (born March 1, 1993 ) is a Norwegian ski jumper .
Career
Hansen made her international debut on December 11, 2007 in Notodden as part of the Ski Jumping Continental Cup . Already in her first two competitions she showed a strong performance and in 33rd place just missed the points.
In February as well as in summer 2008 she clearly missed good placements. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2009 in Štrbské Pleso she reached 29th place in the singles. Just a week later, Hansen won her first Continental Cup points in Notodden and jumped to 21st place twice. Also in the summer of 2009 she was successful with two 27th places in Lillehammer , but could not build on these successes at the beginning of the 2009/10 season.
In the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2010 in Hinterzarten she jumped in the individual competition ranked 31, was only in September 2010 succeeded Hansen with the 20th place in the Swedish Falun again the jump in the points. In the second competition she reached her best individual position up to then with 16th place.
At the beginning of the 2010/11 season , Hansen had to fight another drop in performance. It wasn't until January 2011 that she managed to score again in Ljubno . After these competitions, however, she ended the season and did not participate in the other competitions. In the end, she finished 60th in the overall Continental Cup ranking with 19 points.
On December 3, 2011, Hansen made her debut in the ski jumping World Cup . She jumped in Lillehammer as 30th straight away in the points. In January, in Hinterzarten, she achieved a further increase in performance with rank 20. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2012 in Erzurum , she finished 22nd in the individual and sixth with the team in the team competition. After she no longer jumped into the points in Oslo , Hansen finished the season in 43rd place in the overall World Cup standings.
After two unsuccessful jumps as part of the Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2012 , Hansen started in the 2012/13 season only in jumping in Trondheim at the end of the season, but missed the points with rank 46.
