Szimonetta Planéta (born December 12, 1993 in Kazincbarcika , Hungary ) is a Hungarian handball player .
Career
Planéta played from 2008 at the Hungarian club Győri ETO KC . With Győri, the backcourt player won the Hungarian championship in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016 and the Hungarian Cup in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016. Furthermore, she was in the final of the EHF Champions League in the 2011/12 season . From 2012 to 2014 she was on loan for the first division club Veszprém Barabás KC . In the 2016/17 season she was under contract with the German Bundesliga club Thuringian HC . She then moved to the French first division team Chambray Touraine Handball .
Planéta has been a member of the Hungarian women's national team since 2011 . With Hungary she took part in the 2015 World Cup and the 2018 European Championship .
