EHF Women's Champions League 2011/12

A total of 32 handball club teams took part in the 2011/12 EHF Champions League , which had qualified for the competition in their home countries in the previous season. It was the 52nd edition of the EHF Champions League and the European Cup of National Champions. The cup games began on September 2, 2011, the second round final took place on May 13, 2012. The defending champion was the Norwegian club Larvik HK . With ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica a club from Montenegro won the title for the first time.

Qualification 1
Qualification 1 was held in several tournaments. Two groups of four teams each, with each team in a group playing once against each other team. In the groups, the first and second placed teams qualified for qualification 2. The two eliminated teams advanced to the second round of the European Cup Winners' Cup .

Qualification 2
Qualification 2 was held in several Final Four tournaments. Four groups of four teams. The best team in each group qualified for the group stage. The eliminated twelve teams advanced to the 2nd or 3rd round of the European Cup Winners' Cup .

Group stage
There were four groups with four teams each. In a group everyone played a game against each other; the two best in the group reached the main round.

Main round
There were two groups with four teams each. In a group everyone played a game against each other; the two best in the group reached the semi-finals.

Knockout rounds
The semi-finals and finals were played in the knockout system with a return game.

The draw for qualification 1 took place on June 27, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. (UTC + 2) in Vienna.
