Isabel Blanco (born May 10, 1979 in Bergen , Norway ) is a Norwegian handball player who last played for Halden HK .

Blanco initially played at Vadmyra, Kjøkkelvik , Nordnes and Tertnes IL , where she was retrained from backcourt player to circle player . At the age of 19, the right-hander moved to the Spanish club Ferrobus Mislata Tortajada. Blanco returned to Tertnes in 1999 and left the club a year later. She then played for the Danish club Ikast-Bording EH. After Blanco was active at league rivals Aalborg DH from 2004 to 2006 , she returned to Ikast-Bording, which later merged with FC Midtjylland. From summer 2011 she ran for the Norwegian top club Larvik HK . As of February 2015, she was on pause due to pregnancy. She then joined the Norwegian association Molde HK in February 2016. For the 2016/17 season she moved to the first division team Halden HK , where she also worked as an assistant coach. After Halden filed for bankruptcy in February 2017, she was without a contract.

Isabel Blanco completed 86 games for the Norwegian national handball team . With the Norwegian team, she won the European Championship in 2004 and 2008 . The Norwegian continued to take part in the 2013 World Cup.

Her father Fernando is a former Spanish soccer player who was active with Brann Bergen in the 1970s .
