During the Middle Ages , the courtyard belonged to the All Saints Church in Bergen . In 1536 the court fell to the crown, but in the 17th century it belonged to the city of Bergen. It was considered to be one of the largest farms in Laksevåg. During the Second World War , the German side had plans to build a submarine bunker in the mountains near Kjøkkelvik. Planning began after the Allies landed in Normandy to replace the endangered German submarine bases on the French Atlantic coast. In November 1944, the plans were partially completed. Construction work began in spring 1945 and completion was scheduled for autumn 1946. However, when the war ended in May 1945, the project was no longer implemented. A monument - protected tunnel has been preserved to the northwest of the sports field .

The former main yard of the farm, Fæstergården , has been used by the local sports club Kjøkkelvik idrettslag , founded in 1934, since 1948 .
