Franz Michael Rudhart

Franz Michael Rudhart (born January 27, 1830 in Bamberg , † June 29, 1879 in Staffelstein ) was a German music writer and administrative officer .

Life

Rudhart was the son of the professor and archivist Georg Thomas von Rudhart . He completed a law degree at the University of Munich . Then he was from 1857 secretary at the police headquarters. He also did research in the archives his father headed and published music-historical works. From 1862 he was District Office Assessor in Freising .

Rudhart was initially a district administrator in Teuschnitz for a short time from 1871 , then from 1872 until his early death in Staffelstein. He was considered musically gifted and is said to have been a good piano and cello player .
