Milena Raičević (born March 12, 1990 in Titograd , Yugoslavia , born Milena Knežević ) is a Montenegrin handball player who was named Montenegrin handball player of the year in 2012.

Career

Raičević has played for the Montenegrin club ŽRK Budućnost Podgorica since 2000 . With Budućnost, the backcourt player won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2010, the EHF Champions League in 2012 and 2015 , and the championship and the cup in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

In 2007, Raičević first made international attention when she was the top scorer at the U-17 European Championship with 65 goals. At the U-20 World Cup in 2010, she surprisingly took 3rd place with the Montenegrin team. At the end of the tournament, Raičević was elected to the All-Star Team.

Raičević's first international tournament with the Montenegrin women's national team was the 2010 European Championship . A year later, the next big tournament followed for them with the World Cup . In the summer of 2012, Raičević took part in the Olympic Games in London with Montenegro , where she won the silver medal. In the same year she won the European Championship with Montenegro . She also took part in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro .
