Camilla Herrem (born October 8, 1986 in Stavanger , Norway ) is a Norwegian handball player . She mostly plays on the left winger .
Career
Camilla Herrem began her career at the Norwegian club Sola HK , where she got her first appearances in the Norwegian top division at the age of 16. During the 2005/06 season Herrem moved to Trondheim club Byåsen IL , where they made their debut against Gjerpen on January 4, 2006. In the 2014/15 season she ran for the Romanian first division club HCM Baia Mare . In the 2015/16 season she was under contract with the Danish first division team Tvis Holstebro . With Holstebro she won the European Cup Winners' Cup . Then Herrem moved to the Macedonian club ŽRK Vardar SCBT . With Vardar she won the Macedonian Championship and the Macedonian Cup in 2017. In the summer of 2017 she returned to Sola HK.
For the Norwegian national team , she made her international debut against Sweden on April 3, 2006 , in which she scored three goals. On December 14, 2008 she was with Norway in Macedonia at the European Championship 2008 European champion. She was part of the squad of her national association at the 2009 World Cup in the People's Republic of China , where Norway finished third. In 2010, Herrem defended the European title with Norway and the World Cup followed a year later . In the summer of 2012, Herrem took part in the Olympic Games in London , where she won the gold medal. The Norwegian continued to take part in the 2013 World Cup. In 2014 she celebrated her third European title. A year later she won her second world title . In the final, she was the Norwegian team's most successful goalscorer with seven goals. She won the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . At the European Championships in 2016 she won the European Championship again and was also elected to the All-Star Team. A year later she won the silver medal at the World Cup in Germany . A few days after the final, Herrem announced her first pregnancy. After Thea Mørk was injured at the European Championship 2018 , Herrem moved into the squad of the Norwegian national team.
Private
Herrem has been married to the Norwegian handball player Steffen Stegavik since July 2013 . She gave birth to a son in July 2018.
